You`ve probably already heard the news, but just in case, North Carolina recently reinforced
the law banning marriage between two individuals of the same sex during the May 8th
referendum.
As deception overtook many Americans, a glimpse of hope appeared as Obama stated in an
interview that he is favorable to same-sex marriage, shortly after vice-president Joe Biden
expressed a similar response to the idea. Barack Obama is therefore the first American
president to pronounce himself desirable to the legislation of gay marriage, a historic
moment.
The question I am asking to my fellow Roiworlders is : What do you think of this ? I know
the question on our PERSONAL views on gay marriage has been asked many times... But I am
asking this question as a SOCIETY. As a NATION, A CONSTITUTION. Should a country allow
marriage, or at least civil union, between any two individuals ?
This isn`t a personal question. Not what you THINK. What a modern, civilised COUNTRY should
vehicule as message. It may seem similar, but there is a slight nuance.
